Sunshine, on my window..

I've just this week finished setting up a WH1081 weather station on my roof, scored one off eBay for $85 after reading naturalnetworks post about it here (link)

Nice to see it actually includes a secondary temperature and humidity monitor in the actual LCD screen itself, amusing also that my room keeps to an average of 23-27 degrees while the temp outside has ranged from 13-28 over the last 4 days.

Using Weather-underground to keep/track stats for me is quite simple to setup but rich in detail, not so much feature. My ubuntu server now runs the sofware to upload them.
The device is quite simple, just put everything together on the "poles-that-attach-to-whatever-goes-on-the-roof" (I'm so good with english) section and add batteries to the receiver/LCD screen bit then plug into computer via supplied USB cable.



best app to upload I've found is the console version of weather-display (link) which to help out anyone that doesn't understand the config file, needs to be configured like so..
